“Your book. Your rights. Your royalties. Professional help when you need it.”
KRP Publishing Services: Assisted Self-Publishing
What We Are
You wrote a book? Now what? KRP Publishing helps independent authors navigate the complicated administrative and technical work between a finished manuscript and a professionally published book without surrendering their copyright, royalties, or creative control.
What We Aren’t: A Vanity Press
KRP Publishing is a fee-for-service assisted self-publishing company. You pay KRP Publishing for specific services; you do not pay KRP Publishing for access to your own book.

KRP Publishing DOES NOT:
- acquire ownership of your copyright
- take a percentage of royalties
- require authors to purchase copies
- guarantee sales, reviews, bestseller status, or income
- charge undisclosed fees
- lock authors into long-term publishing agreements
- require authors to use KRP Publishing for future books
- control an author’s KDP account when providing assisted-self-publishing services
- provide editing
- use generative AI in producing client books
Our fees are disclosed in advance and pay for specific services you select. KRP Publishing does not take a percentage of your royalties, acquire your copyright, or require you to purchase copies of your own book.
Choose Your Publishing Path
Assisted Self-Publishing: This path is for new authors who are self-publishing for the first time. The author is the publisher. They own/control their KDP and IngramSpark accounts, ISBNs, files, metadata, royalties, etc. KRP Publishing is the consultant/service provider and will work with you from manuscript completion to publishing day.
KRP Publishing Imprint Services: The author chooses to have KRP Publishing appear as the publisher/imprint and KRP Publishing supplies the ISBN. Authors may also add additional service packages or à la carte services.
Publishing Rescue / Second Edition Relaunch: For authors who have already published but aren’t satisfied with the result. Whether the original launch struggled, service provider let them down, the metadata isn’t working, need to reclaim/relaunch a book, or they simply need help figuring out what to fix. This option will help authors recover from a bad initial launch and present a more polished work.
Publishing Packages
Publishing Essentials, $900: This package includes manuscript formatting, e-book conversion, ISBN guidance, KDP account setup, metadata development, BISAC/category selection, keyword research, and proof-copy review.
Launch Package, $1400: Everything in Publishing Essentials plus book-description/blurb consultation, launch-calendar development, ARC strategy, newsletter setup/strategy, and two hours of Author Office Hours for troubleshooting administrative and technical issues.
Full Assisted Publishing, $2000: Everything from the Launch Package plus IngramSpark account setup, author-platform consultation, and post-launch publishing audits. Comes with 5 hours of Author Office Hours for troubleshooting administrative and technical issues.
KRP Publishing Imprint Services, $140: KRP Publishing registers the ISBN, creates the title record, appears as publisher of record, and handles imprint metadata. This is a one-time registration fee. Please note: KRP Publishing-owned ISBNs remain KRP Publishing ISBNs and a departing author may need a new ISBN/new edition to republish independently.
Publishing Rescue / Second Edition Relaunch, $1000: KRP Publishing assists with metadata development, BISAC/category selection, keyword research, book-description/blurb consultation, proof-copy review, launch-calendar development, ARC strategy, newsletter setup/strategy, author-platform consultation, and post-launch publishing audits. Comes with 3 hours of Author Office Hours.
Á la carte services

Need something that isn’t listed? Author Office Hours can be used for publishing questions, troubleshooting, and individualized assistance. If your project requires work beyond the scope of an existing service, KRP Publishing will provide a scope and price before beginning additional work.
Required: Publishing and formatting services require a complete, fully edited manuscript. Author Office Hours and pre-publication coaching may be booked before manuscript completion.
Note: KRP Publishing does not accept manuscripts or cover artwork containing generative-AI-created prose or imagery, and does not knowingly employ generative AI to create client publishing assets.
WHY?
Why do I structure KRP Publishing’s services this way? Well, what had happened was… I was picked up by a publishing company in 2019, signed a three book deal, and published my first book in 2020. It was a dream come true! Or so I thought. I published my second book in 2021 and that’s when things started falling apart. The publisher wasn’t making enough money and they had overextended themselves. In June of 2023 I was informed they would be closing, cancelling all contracts, and authors would have their rights reverted to them.
I truly believe my editor helped me exit gracefully to the best of his ability. I got my rights reversion memo which allowed me to republish my works, they gifted me the cover art free of charge (although I elected to get new covers), and I was not required to pay back my advance on my second book. But as I started publishing my books again, I realized how little I had made on my books despite the advance.
Now, as a self-published author, 100% of my royalties go to me, but so does 100% of the work. I wanted to offer all the services I wished I had when I started again on my own while still ensuring my authors retain access to their works and maintain their rights.
KRP Publishing exists to help authors self-publish while retaining all rights, full creative control, and financial benefits. KRP Publishing makes money from services, not from owning authors’ books.
